this week's entry is for william keighley's george washington slept here (1942), my favorite jack benny vehicle. it is a crying shame that this is not available on dvd. percy kilbride nearly walks away with this whole film, no mean feat when you are dealing with someone whose timing is as keen as jack benny's.
